Benji is a charming male Yorkie who was found abandoned at a local dog park in San Antonio. Born around August 16, 2018, and weighing 14.6 pounds, Benji has a lovable side but also exhibits some snappy behavior when he’s not comfortable or doesn’t want to be handled. Despite his past challenges, Benji is a sweet and affectionate dog who just needs a bit of understanding and patience.
Benji is very affectionate with those he trusts and will happily roll over to offer his belly for belly rubs, as long as you don’t attempt to correct him or administer medication. He can be wary of new people and situations, so he requires a home with an owner who understands his fearful behavior and can help him feel secure. Benji does best in a home without children and thrives with a gentle, patient touch.
He enjoys playing with other dogs and has a fondness for toys. He is potty trained and walks well on a leash, making him a well-rounded companion in the right environment.
Benji is fully vetted and has received a ProHeart 6 vaccine, providing heartworm prevention until February 16, 2025. His adoption fee is $400.
